The launch of the newly published book Nevyslovená řeč na veřejném zasedání (Host), will take place at the literary festival Česká vlna on 14 November 2026 from 4 p.m. Alice Koubová will take part in a discussion with Pavel Pospěch; moderated by Anna Beata Háblová, they will talk together about their work.
About the book Nevyslovená řeč na veřejném zasedání:
Between 2023 and 2026, Alice Koubová published dozens of texts in newspapers, magazines and online media. The genre of these texts ranged from prose poetry through literary columns, reflections, essays and interviews to answers to survey questions. The book Nevyslovená řeč na veřejném zasedání brings a selection of these texts, compiled and edited by Jan Heller. The way the texts are conceived reveals further aspects of the philosophical thinking of Alice Koubová, her specific approach to philosophy itself, to the world and to the problems of the contemporary world.
Alice Koubová philosophises in the midst of today's world in the state into which we ourselves have brought it. She searches for ways in which we can hold our ground in it together: not to escape, to act together, not to look for scapegoats, not to be scandalised. To hear one another and take the next step. And above all, not to give up on the possibility of thinking openly and acting courageously. -- Jan Heller
