An interview with the philosopher Alice Koubová. We discussed how one first becomes a mathematician and then a philosopher, where the dangers of the ego lie and how to tame it. We talked about what artists and philosophers are good for, and what impact the experience of theatre training — for instance in the form of Dialogical Acting — had on Alice. We also touched on the project “Nástroje rozvíjení etické kultury v české státní správě”, of which Alice is a part. But the best description of this interview is a quotation from Albert Einstein: “No problem can be solved at the same level of thinking that created it.” The first double-digit episode of the podcast “Život on Air” is about how to think, from where, to where and by which route.
